Learn to Build Wheels!

EBC is proud to present a new course offering covering the art and science of wheelbuiding!  Ever wondered how to determine correct spoke length then lace up a wheel from scratch? Then this is the course for you.

The course will be offered in two parts.

The first session will be held Wednesday, October 26 from 6 to 9 PM and will cover all the necessary preparations to build a wheel: measuring the rim and hub then calculating spoke length.  The basic theory of the bicycle wheel will also be covered including types of parts, basic physics of the wheel, spoke patterns, tensioning, radial and lateral true and dish.  Please note that you can either choose to assemble a wheel using your own hub and rim or use ours.  If you use our parts you can either purchase them at cost and keep the wheel or not.

The second session will be held the following Wednesday, November 2 from 6 to 9 PM and will cover the assembly of the wheel, including lacing, tensioning and truing. It is strongly recommended that you attend both sessions.

Each class costs $35 for members and $40 for non-members.  Please register by emailing .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address).
